Arrival

My scientific team and I have been looking everywhere for habitable planets, hoping to establish a good relationship and learn something new about this endless universe.

Not too long ago, we discovered a habitable planet that seemed to be struggling with some strange, intelligent, yet foolish living organisms. Today is the day we visit the planet to try to help them, possibly talk with their leader, learn about them, and analyse their behaviour. We plan to stay for at least five “human” years, pretending to be among them so we can understand how they live and how we might help.

We have arrived, and this planet looks just like mine thousands of years ago.

The planet I come from is called DF-456. It is one of the few inhabited by four-dimensional beings, something humans are not capable of, sadly.

In the past, we fought many wars over power and resources, but now everything has changed. We were able to create a safe, clean living environment for ourselves and future generations after a disastrous war that lasted about 1,025 years.

It ended with only ten per cent of the population surviving.
