Maryan Prydatko

I’m Maryan, a developer from Ukraine, living in Berlin. I build Hivemind and Brainjuice, two learning apps in the App Store, as a working student at Aether.

I mostly write TypeScript: React Native and Expo, React, and Hono with PostgreSQL. I enjoy writing code, working through problems myself, and keeping the software simple. I study at CODE, I’m learning C++ for a student CubeSat, and I spend my free time bouldering and reading philosophy.

Fixes merged into other people’s libraries

Two fixes of mine are merged into Software Mansion’s React Native libraries, and both came from reading the library rather than the app that used it. enriched-markdown now scales inline code with Dynamic Type on iOS, and react-native-streamdown no longer crashes on web where worklet runtimes are unavailable.

HausPetA pet-care app, from profiles to health tracking

My pet-care app prototype from SummerUP 2025, where our team took second place. I built it with React Native and Expo, backed by a Python/Flask API.

The walkthrough follows Oscar, a French bulldog: adding his profile, checking his location and health dashboard, and trying the AI assistant. The prototype uses simulated tracking and sample health data.

uivetTesting AI-generated interfaces

A generated interface can look fine and still lose a price. I built uivet to check the rendered result and used it to evaluate six models.

My write-up includes an experiment that removes a price on purpose. It also shows a limitation: finding all the values doesn’t prove they belong to the right rows.

HOME/HOMELANDOrganizing an exhibition, building its website

I help organize this international student art exhibition and built its submission, private review, and public gallery website with React and Supabase.

Artists submit work privately; the team decides what becomes public. The website handles private review, publication permissions, and media links that can expire while someone is browsing.

fuxam-localUniversity admin from my terminal

I wanted to read my courses and study progress and manage bookings from the terminal. This tool uses Python without third-party packages, and agents can use it too.

It is released as v0.5.0 and runs on Linux, macOS, and Windows. Booking changes get a preview and explicit confirmation. The tool checks the current state before sending the request once. If the outcome is uncertain, it stops instead of risking a duplicate booking.

SladentA website for my family’s clinic

My family runs a dental clinic in Ternopil, Ukraine. I built its website in Ukrainian and English, including appointment requests.

It’s HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This is one of the projects where I wanted to keep the software simple.

  • Pathfinder is a high-school JavaFX project for watching A*, Dijkstra, BFS, and DFS explore a maze.
  • Qiskit companion is an unofficial study tool for quantum computing, with interactive qubit and entanglement experiments and a local Python runtime that executes Qiskit code.
  • Toast planning is a small AI course project comparing search algorithms: finding the fewest steps to make toast isn’t the same as finding the quickest plan.
